Areas Served

The Southern Nevada District Chapter is based in Las Vegas and serves the Las Vegas Valley from Centennial Hills to Anthem Highlands including Sunrise Manor, Summerlin, Henderson, and Mountains Edge. As we solidify our chapter in Las Vegas, we aim to expand our reach to neighboring regions such as Boulder City and Pahrump.

Chapter Background

The Southern Nevada Chapter was established in 2023. Our mission is to offer cardiovascular healthcare professionals an opportunity to collaborate and initiate a plan toward a more unified approach in disseminating cardiovascular health promotion and disease prevention education throughout the Las Vegas community.

As nurses migrate and new graduate nurses join our healthcare team in Las Vegas, the Southern Nevada Chapter also aspires to become the leading organization in supporting nurses’ professional development through the Spring and Fall continuing education conferences and community outreach events.

Geselle Lumaban-Corpuz BSN, RN, CMSRN is the current President of the Southern Nevada Chapter. With a passion for healthcare, she serves as the Director of Med Surg at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she oversees several units, including a Cardiac Med-Surg Unit. With a passion for nursing leadership, she is committed to empowering MedSurg nurses to have a strong voice and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of patient care within the cardiac community.

As Chapter Leader, Geselle’s goal is to foster collaboration, professional growth, and advocacy for MedSurg nurses, enabling them to make a lasting impact in their field and improve outcomes for patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, Lyndon and her three dogs: Jag, Bowman, and Bruce Wayne.
