The Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association invites healthcare professionals involved in innovation projects, original research, or graduate capstones related to cardiovascular risk reduction and disease management to submit an abstract for presentation at the Cardiovascular Nursing Symposium.

  • December 6, 2024: Call for Abstracts closes
  • January 31, 2025: Authors notified of decision
  • April 10-12, 2025: Cardiovascular Nursing Symposium in Orlando, FL

General Guidelines

  • Abstracts are due Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:59 PM CT.
  • Only original abstracts that have not been previously published or presented prior to submitting to PCNA will be considered.

Abstract Mentoring

PCNA offers those who plan to submit an abstract the opportunity to receive advice for and proofreading of their abstract before final submission. If you are interested in being mentored by a member of the committee, please fill out the form below. Mentorship requests are due on October 4th, 2025 at 5:00 PM CT.

Abstract Submission

  • Please list each additional authors' contact information, including name, credentials, affiliation, email, phone number, and fax number. This information is required for all abstracts published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing.
  • Two to four sentences detailing your education, professional experience, and any additional certifications
  • Strict 300 word limit.
